This episode starts out with a BANG!!! I'm unable to contain my rage about The Happytime Murders, officially my worst movie of the year, so right at the start of the show I launch into a full tirade against this cinematic disaster. Justin and the Sauce headline segment two with news about their trip to Camp Blood IV at the Mahoning Drive-In theater, and they've got a review of Summer of '84! We'll also touch more on the upcoming EFG Fitness Challenge and so much more. Thank you all so much for listening!

Remember, we need Apple Podcasts reviews and we want to get to 150 by the end of the year! Find the link below and rate/review/subscribe to the show; when we hit 150, everyone who has left a review will be entered to win one of three $25 gift cards or numerous other prizes; just our way of giving back and saying thank you for your support. We'll see you at the movies!

EFG Fitness Challenge!!

Starting September 1st, you can join the EFG Fitness Challenge!!! For every 25 miles the community accumulates, I'll have to watch another movie that you suggest! You can also win prizes, compete in daily and weekly challenges, and best of all, you can get healthy. We'll also be selling shirts and other swag like water bottles branded for the event; all proceeds go to help Perry & Lindsay Johnson!

Please make a donation to Perry & Lindsay's GoFundMe to help them raise money for medical costs associated with Perry's cancer diagnosis: https://www.gofundme.com/hello-cancer-wtf?member=137506.

Welcome everyone to a very special minisode presentation from the Livestream for the Cure 2.0! On (most) Mondays through the rest of 2018, we'll be releasing the audio from most of the segments of the event for you to listen back to and enjoy, and for those of you who missed them the first time around.

Check out more about the Livestream for the Cure at http://www.livestreamforthecure.com. This year we smashed our goal and raised over $5,500 for the Cancer Research Institute, much of which will be matched by them for a total of almost $11,000 raised to help fight cancer. We owe it all to the amazing shows who took part in the event, shared it, and played our promos, as well as those who helped us feature the event. This was all because of you!!

Late in day one of Livestream for the Cure 2.0 we were joined by Shane of Now That I'm Older, an avid movie fan who also does a hilarious comedy show with his good friend Kenny. He took 64 movies made in the 90s and shuffled them into a bracket, and then it was up to each of us to pick a winner in each matchup until we reached our absolute best 90s movie! Thank you all so much for listening! We'll see you at the movies!

Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes! Welcome to a brand new week of the Epic Film Guys podcast, where we're serving up something just a little different... a much, much shorter runtime. With over three years in the game, we've stuck to pretty much the same format for the past two and a half years. Segments come, and segments go, but we've really hovered around 90-100 minutes per episode and it's time to make a change. My goal going forward for the time being will be to release an Epic Film Guys experience that is just 60 minutes long, to not only give you guys more time to listen to other great shows, but to be more inviting to new, would-be listeners. Let us know what you think of this change!

This week, it's time to prepare for the rest of 2018, which we're doing with the announcement of a fitness challenge this September! Every 25 miles accumulated by the community is another movie you can make me watch! Anything goes!!! We'll be giving away a ton of prizes as well. We also talk about the upcoming 31 Day Horror Challenge and Never-Seen-It November, two EFG staples, and the pending return of Charles Bronson with BRONCEMBER. We've also got a ton of guests lined up or being lined up and collaborations galore. It's gonna be a busy four months to close out the year!

Justin didn't go to the movies at all this week, but Nick picked up the slack and watched FOUR films!! This week's featured review is Crazy Rich Asians, a film that already landed on Nick's top five of the year so far, and we get reviews-in-brief of Blockers, Game Night, and Wes Anderson's Isle of Dogs. All this and some great EFG History clips and a lot of laughs. Thank you all so much everyone out there for listening and supporting the show. We'll see you at the movies!!

This week's special segment is the second of two segments we recorded with Paul from The Countdown Movie & TV Reviews, as we play a fun trivia game of Guess Paul's Rating! Paul and I put together a list of films for him to rate out of 100 points (which I keep forgetting) and our audience in the chat had to guess, with the closest getting one point and anyone guessing exactly getting three points. It was a lot of fun and we drove a lot of donations early in the stream thanks to Paul. Thank you all so much for listening! We'll see you at the movies!

Last week, we took a trip back and visited a masterpiece of cinema and a film whose cultural impact is still felt today in Jaws. This week, with the help of the God of Podcasting himself, we review the latest film influenced by Spielberg's shark film in The Meg, which was sold to us as a fun tongue-in-cheek romp against a prehistoric mega-shark (or megaladon). How did it turn out? Well, let's just say that the total scores across the panel wouldn't even be a perfect score.

Hello everyone and welcome to a very special episode of the Epic Film Guys podcast, as we take an in-depth look at the original blockbuster and still one of the greatest films ever made, Steven Spielberg's Jaws. What better way to celebrate Shark Week and to look ahead to The Meg (full review coming next week!) than to discuss this absolute masterpiece of suspense! Join us as we look at the making of the film, discuss the film's troubled production and whirlwind shoot, and end on the cultural impact that it has left in its wake that is still fully alive today. It all started with Jaws!

Also this week, Nick had a chance to see The Darkest Minds and The Spy Who Dumped Me, but the Nick's Rants theme finally sounds out in the darkness after months of absence when one of these films sends him over the edge. Thank you all so much for listening and for all of your amazing support.
