Prepare to have your spines tingled and to hear those bumps in the night! That's right ladies and gentlemen, it's the FINAL episode of the 2017 horror season (though we'll have a full review of Jigsaw coming next week!). I know all of our horror listeners out there really haven't had the opportunity to delight in horror this month, with Justin taking a vacation and the subsequent reviews of Blade Runner and 2049. So I decided that this week I'd take a week off and allow Justin the opportunity to sate his bloodlust by doing a FULL horror show!

The only way to fully celebrate horror, though, is to get a guest we've never had on the show before onboard with us in the form of Fear from FYFC Studios!!! He's as big a horror fan as Justin is, so these two go all out with a horror celebration and count down their top ten slasher flicks this week. Fear is the host of FEARCast, and you can catch all of the great stuff they do over at fyfcstudios.com!

Thank you so much to Fear for jumping in to guest host the show... and thank you for listening! Remember that patrons of the show get early access to an EXTENDED cut of the episode where the guys talk about their favorite Halloween memories! Pleasant SCREAMS... we'll see you at the movies!!!

Friends of the Show

We'd like to give a huge shout-out for a lot of the shows we're proud to call friends, and that we're proud to call ourselves fans of. We especially have to thank our brothers in Perth, Paul & Wayne of The Countdown Movie & TV reviews, who have opened us up to a huge audience halfway across the world. Particular thanks to Paul who has been an amazing friend and has been infinitely helpful in terms of getting honest feedback on the evolution of the show. A huge thank you to Emily from The Story Behind podcast, whose support and friendship have kept this show alive through some of its darkest days. A huge thank you to some of our biggest podcasting friends, from Mr. X at the Angry Old Man, Shane from Now That I'm Older, David from The Unwritable Rant, Adam from Everyone Has a Podcast, Ro from the World of Ro, the entire crew at Afterburn 739, Mat at the One Word, Go! show, Justin from So I Married a Movie Geek, and Deana from the Twisted Philly podcast. We're probably forgetting someone, so thank you to ALL of you! We truly do love and appreciate your support.

We also have to give a huge shout out to #PodernFamily for helping to increase our exposure, and safe to say without it we wouldn't have met a lot of the podcasters and fans we're proud to call friends. We also want to give a huge shout out to the #MoviePodSquad, a group of movie podcasters in the #PodernFamily who have come together for our mutual love of film.

He's BACK!!! He is the man behind the mask and he is most DEFINITELY out of control. Justin has finally returned from the west coast, and he's here to tell us all sorts of stories about visiting his favorite film locations, and exactly what kind of shenanigans he was up to in California.

That's not all we've got for you though, folks... lots more chatter about tons of horror stuff, including Justin's first horror challenge check-in! We're also reviewing a new trailer in Epic Previews that causes Nick to sound off the Rants alarm, and we're just having a hell of a lot of fun.

This week's review of Blade Runner 2049 will be released as its own minisode, so look for that in the next few days... and if you're a patron of the show, you'll be getting almost 20 minutes of extra content in this week's pre-roll! Thank you so much for supporting the show! While you wait for the minisode of BR2049, check out my written review at https://epicfilmguys.wordpress.com/2017/10/09/blade-runner-2049-decadent-ambition/. We'll see you at the movies!!

Justin is still off on his California adventure, so once again, we had to find another host to step into his Hobster-urine soaked shoes to fill in. Luckily, another first-time guest was more than willing to step in, and we are proud to class things up and welcome JD Duran of the InSessionFilm podcast to the Epic Film Guys!

With the release of Blade Runner 2049 this week, we're... not reviewing it! I promised Justin we'd wait until he returns to the show to talk about it, but given that I have also never seen the original Blade Runner film, I decided to give it a watch after seeing the new film and giving it a written review which you can check out at https://epicfilmguys.wordpress.com/2017/10/09/blade-runner-2049-decadent-ambition/. So, JD and I look deep into the film and weigh in on whether or not we feel Deckard is a replicant.

Also this week, during our recording, the brand-new trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi dropped, and we're gonna talk about it as well as two other trailers in this week's Epic Previews. All that and TONS of other fun stuff! You can hear the pre-roll from this week's show if you are a patron, visit our Patreon page for more information. A huge shout-out and thank you to JD for being on this week. Please check out his amazing podcast at www.insessionfilm.com! We'll see you at the movies!!

It's a somber recording day tonight as we officially kick off the month of October here on the Epic Film Guys podcast, and our thoughts are with everyone affected by the devastating tragedy that unfolded in Las Vegas on Sunday night.

With Justin away in California for the next two weeks, we were left with a HUGE hole to fill to kick off Epic Film Guys horror season! Fortunately, I put the word out on twitter, and a very good friend of the show (and amazing podcaster), Deana of the Twisted Philly podcast, jumped at the chance to fill in! She's the host of a show all about the dark, twisted history of the city of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection, and if anyone can fill Justin's horror-loving shoes, it's her.

We're here this week with the kick-off to the annual Epic Film Guys horror challenge! Over in the Hobster's Dumpster, check in your flicks all month long and we'll discuss it in our horror challenge check-in segment! Also this week in EFG history, a show staple celebrates its second birthday, and we're talking news galore once again!

But, that's not why you're here. You're here for the HORROR! Deana and I watched An American Werewolf in London and I Am Not a Serial Killer for the show this week and we'll discuss both of those flicks, and then we're talking horror trailers in Epic Previews!

I want to give a huge thanks to Deana from Twisted Philly for being on the show this week. Please check out her amazing podcast at www.twistedphilly.com! We'll see you at the movies!!
