Episode 108 - The PodFix Nolan Megasode!!!
Thursday Aug 10, 2017
Thursday Aug 10, 2017
This week's episode is so jam-packed with goodies, I can't even believe they'll all fit into one show (and they likely won't)! Episode 108 of the podcast is all about Christopher Nolan, as we discuss the greatest of the great with our Nolan Top Five PodFix MEGASODE!!! Yeah, that was a mouthful. On top of that, I'll be reviewing Dunkirk with Director Brenic and Shocktop Justin! We are also thrilled to be joined by Caleb of Netflix 'n Swill and John from Now in Technicolor!
I want to thank everyone from the PodFix network who jumped aboard for this week's episode, and although we definitely missed Justin on the show, he's off enjoying Hans Zimmer live in concert, so we'll hear from him again next week. Thank you very much everyone for listening! We'll see you at the movies!!
Have some fun with us and check out Christopher Nolan's short film Doodlebug here on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WhKt_CkXD0.

We especially have to thank our brothers in Perth, Paul & Wayne of The Countdown Movie & TV reviews, who have opened us up to a huge audience halfway across the world. Particular thanks to Paul who has been an amazing friend and has been infinitely helpful in terms of getting honest feedback on the evolution of the show. A huge thank you to Emily from The Story Behind podcast, whose support and friendship have kept this show alive through some of its darkest days. A huge thank you to some of our biggest podcasting friends, from Mr. X at the Angry Old Man, Shane from Now That I'm Older, David from The Unwritable Rant, Adam from Everyone Has a Podcast, Ro from the World of Ro, the entire crew at Afterburn 739, Mat at the One Word, Go! show, Justin from So I Married a Movie Geek, and Deana from the Twisted Philly podcast. Look for even more crossovers and fun events with these and other great podcasters soon!

Rewind 002 - On my World, it means Hope
Thursday Aug 03, 2017
Thursday Aug 03, 2017
It's another week for a rewind here on the Epic Film Guys podcast... at least mostly! Today is a day for truth... the truth about our love of Zack Snyder's very divisive 2013 mega blockbuster Man of Steel. Suffice to say myself and Justin love this film, and while others may disagree, we took it upon ourselves to lay out several of the criticisms most-often cited in this film and dissect them one at a time. I also asked twitter what their one biggest criticism of the film was, and we take some time to address them- or at the very least, have a good laugh at them.
Back when we recorded this, we asked for people to submit their thoughts, and you'll hear them all as part of this episode! I want to thank @mpearce6, @YogurtPodcast, @roelsantosjr, @BrentleyDOliver, @reelcomicheroes, @TheMidside, and our great friend Paul @thecountdownpc for contributing to our Man of Steel show with an audio clip discussing their love (or lack thereof) for the film. Also, a huge thanks to everyone who responded on twitter!
And though this is a rewind episode, I've also got some brand-new goodies packed into this episode for you guys... a mega-dose of Epic Previews from our Nolan Megasode, which was recorded with Dan & Caleb of Netflix 'n Swill, Justin from So I Married a Movie Geek, and John from Now in Technicolor. The rest of the megasode will be coming out soon, and then you can expect all-new episodes of the Epic Film Guys podcast! Stay tuned, and we'll see you at the movies!
