Episode 073 - Batman (1989) Live Commentary!
Monday Nov 21, 2016
Monday Nov 21, 2016
Eight months in the making... way back in Episode 36, during our Burton/Schumaker Batman retrospective, we introduced the first part of our Batman '89 live commentary! We popped the second part into episode 40 in the wake of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. However, back when we recorded the commentary in March, something went wrong. When I opened the files from Justin I found two part ones, and zero part twos! The second half of the original commentary was lost, and while we mentioned it a time or two, we never got back around to recording that second half... until now.
Now, finally, eight months later, we have re-recorded the lost half of our commentary, and I took the original audio tracks (since I opted to save everything until we finished it) and re-edited them, and re-mixed the tracks with the film's sound. So even if you did hear episodes 36 & 40, you are hearing a brand new edit of the original half, and our all-new recording for part two. The result? An epic celebration that we feel is worthy of our favorite film on the Epic Film Guys podcast.
How do you sync it with the film? EASY! The commentary begins where the film does- so start the commentary at the same time you start the film and enjoy it. We'll be back next week with a brand new episode of the podcast, including the start of a brand new segment and our farewell to the Lisp. Thank you for listening... we'll see you at the movies!!

Episode 072 - Our Arrival Review with L-L-L-Loysauce!
Thursday Nov 17, 2016
Thursday Nov 17, 2016
The self-proclaimed "god of podcasting" has returned home to the main show... Epic Film Guy L-L-L-Loysauce joins myself and Justin for a colossal Arrival review! We kept the main review spoiler-free, but we did also discuss some of the film's spoilers and weightier themes in our spoiler review segment after the main episode ends. We definitely gave this review our all... give it a listen!
Also this week, we're reviewing two trailers in Epic Previews... we take a look at the first trailer for Ghost in the Shell starring Scarlett Johannson and we're also going to check out the first feature trailer for Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast remake starring Emma Watson. We've also got a very special clip in this week's featured actor segment, as Nick discusses his favorite film of all time with a scene from About Schmidt.
The guys also talk about what's coming next week on the podcast, and good news for Where in the World is the Lisp players- you've got until November 20th to get us that final answer for your last chance at winning the Epic Film Guys prize pack created by Emily from The Story Behind. All this and loads of fun... and the return of a drunken distraction that just won't stay gone. Thank you for listening... we'll see you at the movies!!

Thursday Nov 10, 2016
We are thrilled to be joined by Emily of the Story Behind podcast, who is on the show this week to talk about Where in the World is the Lisp? All the clues have been played, and now it's time for everyone to try to figure out where the Lisp has gone! Next week on the show we'll be drawing a winner for the prize pack and playing a special tribute to the Lisp.
We're also extremely excited to discuss one of our most anticipated films of the year this week, Mel Gibson's Hacksaw Ridge! The film stars Andrew Garfield, Hugo Weaving, Sam Worthington, Vince Vaughn and Teresa Palmer.
Also this week, we've got a couple voicemails to play in Fanviews, including some cleanup from the Horror Challenge and a participant check-in for Never-Seen-It November, although we are not officially tracking the challenge we do encourage anyone who wishes to participate to do so.
All this and a load of fun stuff crammed in, as well as another clip from this month's featured actor, Jack Nicholson. We'll see you at the movies!
